README - ENSCAPE

Setup:

This README will guide you on how to bring in downloaded custom Enscape assets into your Enscape Custom Asset Library. Have Revit open and your downloaded .ZIP file located.

Step 1: Navigate to the Enscape Tab in the Revit Navigation Bar.

Step 2: Click on the Asset Library icon.

Step 3: Click on the source path button located at the bottom of the Asset Library window.

Step 4: The address bar will show the path and location of the Enscape Asset Folder. (Can also be viewed by hovering over the source path folder). Navigate to this location and open the Enscape folder.

Step 5: Now find and open the folder with your .ZIP file, and have it next to the Enscape Asset Folder.

Step 6: Before moving the .ZIP file over. Create a folder called “Custom Import Folder” for better organization in your Enscape Asset folder. This will hold any custom assets, .ENS or .ZIP formats.

Step 7: Double click on the sample .ZIP file to open it, and copy all of the files in it before pasting them into the Custom Import Library Folder within the Enscape Folder. (Alternatively you can extract the .ZIP file first then move it’s contents over into the Custom Import Library Folder.)

Step 8: The custom assets will now be visible in the Enscape Asset Library.

Step 9: If you want to make it so you can edit these models in Enscape follow the next steps. Find the .ASSETPKG files that you just moved into the Custom Import Library. Highlight them as we’ll be moving them out of the Custom Import Library Folder into the Enscape Folder.

Step 10: Navigate back to the Enscape Asset Library -> Custom Assets Tab.  Hovering over an asset will now show an Edit Asset icon.

Step 11: After clicking on Edit Asset you’ll be greeted with the following screen. You can now edit your Enscape Assets!
